There is great debate around words like “diversity”, as well as how those of African descent are labelled depending on what part of the world you live in. Museum of Diversity is a forum in which we can examine the diversity within our communities across various categories: humanity and migration, culture, sports, music and dance, innovators and scholars, and civil rights movements. It provides a space to have complex conversations with a global community.
Knowing one’s history allows you to have self-respect and re-claim your identity. It helps you assert yourself into the social, political and cultural agendas today. While people of color are not a homogenous group, we believe our shared African ancestry should be examined and celebrated through both a historic and contemporary perspective through the lens of modern technology. Museum of Diversity is a nonprofit organisation who is dedicated to bringing that diverse history to life in an innovative and immersive way that engages with people of all backgrounds. Our core goals are EDUCATION, CELEBRATION and UNIFICATION. Although we live in an era of great division, we strongly believe that there is more that unites us than divides us. In the words of Kenyan social and environmental activist and Nobel Peace Prize recipient Wangari Maathai,
“You cannot enslave a mind that knows itself, values itself, that understands itself.”
Please join this initiative, as only together can we make tangible and sustainable change. Thank you in advance for your support.

A Message from
Life began in Africa, so therefore, African history is global history. With the migration of groups from Africa (whether willingly or unwillingly), communities have evolved, each with their own unique and diverse cultures and heritages. Unfortunately, most pre-colonial African history is neglected, which has allowed for remnants of colonialism to remain in many modern-day institutions all around the world. There is a growing demand and hunger for African and African diaspora histories to be taught in schools and to the general public, as well as a drive for the reconstruction of the current narratives so that they are told from the perspective of people from those communities.
Our Mission
MoD's mission is to educate, inspire and foster greater unity amongst all in our communities through immersive and interactive experiences that highlight the rich heritage and culture of the black and minority-ethnic communities.
These communities consist of a vast variety of cultures, languages, religions and histories. Very often those cultures and stories are unknown to those outside those communities. MoD strives to educate and share these stories with the general public. Learn More
